New cloudcast: oldskool bleep & bass

This week’s cloudcast is an old vinyl mix of some oldskool pop techno and bleep tracks that I had mixed like it was deep house, with long crossfades that let the basslines get into a frank and productive dialogue with each other.
Vodpod videos no longer available.

  1. oh! pretty! (but wtf is a ‘frank and productive dialogue’ between basslines? i think you just make stuff up on this blog.)

  2. academicalism

    I certainly do! 😉
I just meant that the basslines follow each other rather well (some sound similar, like those of “Papua New Guinea” and “Fool’s gold”), and that the tracks don’t “trainwreck” (= fall out of beat-matched sync with each other).
